My heart is heavy as I learned today of the passing of Author Francis Ray. I met Francis years ago in Chicago and remember having a very nice and engaging conversation with her about writing and life in general. Although I only met her once, I could tell from this conversation as well as a few email exchanges over the years that she was genuinely a very nice person and supportive of others. And,... plus whenever her name came up in conversations with others I only heard nothing but wonderful things about Francis. I read her book “In Another Man’s Bed” a few years back and I knew then without a doubt that this sistah was born to write. The world and the literary community has lost an amazing and gifted author and wonderful woman that will be sorely missed. RIP Francis!
